I have been working for an energy company for the past 18 years. I started off as a telecommunication technologist for the first 9 years, then moved into corporate IT as a Windows Server Architect. This year, I transferred into a smaller IT group specializing in securing the energy computer network. It has about 1/10 the computers that corporate IT did, but 10 times the security issues. So it's been a challenge.
I mainly hang out online at Experts Exchange and from time to time also on Usenet. These two resources allow me to help other people, but more importantly have provided me with a wealth of knowledge. I keep learning every day.
I've started this blog in hopes of sharing some more knowledge of what I learned over there years.
